Client Spotlight: PACT

PACT Logo

PACT is a mission-driven, for-profit company. They make super soft, organic cotton everyday essentials. PACT is a completely sustainable garment company that follows every step of the process from organic & sustainable ingredients to ethical manufacturing to environmentally friendly package. The best part of the company, each season PACT partners with a non-profit to develop a custom giving program.

The dream began when co-founder and Chief Creative Officer, Jeff Denby was working at a design firm in Toronto before going to business school. Often times, Jeff would visit the factories where the garments were produced in China and Vietnam. The conditions were horrific. With so much put into the design process and almost no consideration in the manufacturing process, Jeff decided creating a sustainable clothing company with trendy styles was on the horizon.

What's truly unique about PACT is that they do good, by doing good. With strategic cause programs, the company is able to raise money and awareness while promoting their business. Last spring, PACT teamed up with the Whole Kids Foundation and Indiegogo to build urban gardens across America. Volunteers were recruited to run the campaigns and for every person who donated, they received a free PACT product as a perk. The campaign raised over $100,000, drove SEO and improved sales dramatically. Now, the company strives to do two campaigns every year and each collection is connected to and inspired by their specific cause.

With business growing rapidly, PACT hires a new employee about every other month and operations have expanded. PACT continues to only use transparent supply chains, organic or sustainable textiles and ethical manufacturing facilities.

"B2BGateway has been a great partner for PACT as our business rapidly expands," said COO, Scott Desserault. "We have connected NetSuite to our major trading partners and our 3PL warehouse with the same interface which has resulted in significant operational efficiencies. B2B's technical and support team has been very helpful in providing set up and configuration advise to optimize our EDI exchanges. They are proactive and responsive to our needs and genuinely care about our success."
