image Here's a brief history of who I am, what I do, and why we should be friends: I grew up I Poland, raised in two religions one being Islam (not very popular or well known in Poland), the other being Roman Catholic which is the most popular religion in the country. Living in a house where we celebrated both religious holidays gave me a great appreciation for different cultures and traditions. I feel that cultural appreciation starts at home and thanks to my parents I started to appreciate other cultures through travelling, learning foreign languages, reading diverse books, trying out different cuisines and projects.

8 years ago my family decided to move to Limerick, Ireland. Before deciding to study Marketing and later on Business with Event Management in Limerick Institute of Technology, twice I almost started to study something completely different - Re-Socialization and Arabic studies! At the time I felt it would be great to study something that I am very interested in and in what I felt I had a sufficient knowledge already gathered during working on many volunteering projects. However, I had a long discussion with my family and they said to me, "Why would you study something that you already know so much about?" At the time I didn't fully understand what they meant, but now I know, they know me so well that they knew that I would drop out over time because I will find it boring and I would not learn anything new...

During my college years I gathered extensive experience gained across a number of paid and volunteer's roles, but mainly I was working as a marketing freelancer for many of Limerick's local businesses. My favorite part of this job was designing websites, brochures, business cards and many other promotional materials. 18 months ago I landed in B2BGateway and started my journey as Digital Marketing Executive.

Hobbies
image I love travelling, I have visited 7 countries this year (Thailand was my favorite - you have to go there!) and I dream of reaching more and more. I love being adventurous so this is why Thailand is a great place! In Asia you can be very adventurous especially for such a low cost! My bucket list still contains some sizeable feats like swimming with sharks, a hot air balloon ride in some exotic location and learning a traditional dish in each country I go to. Now I have to say I am a pro in Pad Thai!

Sport was always an important part of my life. As a teenager I won second place in a national dance championship in Poland, I was taking part in every regional high school sport competition I could find - from table tennis, soccer, basketball to volleyball. Volleyball being my most favorite. Currently I find fitness to be something that keeps me motivated and healthy, I especially enjoy trampoline jumping classes where in one hour you can burn up to 1000 calories and I plan to become an instructor one day. Now, that is SOME workout!

I often cry at crappy movies, finish every book no matter how much I hate it. Now I am in the middle of "Shantaram", a book about Australia's most wanted men who decided to escape prison and live in India...

Food
image I am big foodie, so I don't really have one favorite food. I love Italian, Arabic cuisine, sushi, pierogi (traditional polish dumplings), cheese (smelly, melted, simple Gouda, absolutely any kind of cheese!), pizza... I also like to try new things wherever I go to. My last interesting meal was larvas and crickets in the Phuket market, absolutely delicious! Omnomnom... During my college life I also organized the first Limerick Dine in The Dark event which was a unique dining experience that utilized the guests senses in a way that they never have before. Without sight to rely on, it was interesting how other senses were brought into play and flavors and textures were heightened.

Pets
image During my whole life I used to have turtles, parrots, hamsters, guinea pigs, stick insects, gold fishes and rabbit. But now another love of my life is Frodo (yes, we all love the Lord of the Rings in my family...). Frodo is a very energetic one year old black Cocker Spaniel who loves to eat mail...

Work
In B2BGateway I work on variety of projects and marketing campaigns so I can't really say that every day here is the same and this is my favorite part of my job. I believe the projects I work on are reflections of myself, so I always focus on every little detail. Working in B2BGateway is sometimes challenging and this is what I love about working here. I believe challenges offer growth, they create opportunity to make mistakes and learn from them and discover that we can overcome difficulty when we try hard enough. I am happy to say that being a Digital Marketing Executive fosters creativity and B2BGateway has created this environment where they brought multi-talented groups of people who work in close collaboration together - they exchange knowledge, ideas and shape the direction for our future. And I hope being creative is what makes me good my job, at capturing moments for our social media, at keeping things fresh, unique and sometimes personal. I love what I do. And I can't wait to meet you!
