Bad Ass - CEO ADDRESS

image It was a beautiful late summer evening just a bit before sunset. My daughter was in our driveway with a friend, they were about to leave in her car. I was in the garage getting ready to run an errand when I heard some music faintly playing. I looked at my daughter's car and it was not running yet, so the music wasn't coming from there.

It was such a beautiful night, instead of jumping in my car, I grabbed my motorcycle helmet and climbed on my bike. I rolled the motorcycle out of the garage and into the driveway, as my daughter was leaving I heard the music again. I looked into the street and there was a car parked in front of my house with a middle aged, heavy set man behind the wheel. The man appeared to be taking pictures or video of my house on his mobile phone.

I was troubled, I don't live in a bad neighbourhood, but our house is very close to an exit of one of the busiest highways in the world. As such, anyone can jump off the highway and hangout in our neighbourhood. I had no idea who this guy was or what he was doing. I thought, is he a private investigator, and is he following me? It occurred to me that I had nothing to hide...so I ruled that out. Is he casing my house to steal something... but we have nothing to steal. So I was confused.

At that point he saw me on my motorcycle looking at him and he promptly hid the phone/camera. I started up my motorcycle and rode towards his car, but he put his car in gear and tried to drive away. No, I wasn't going to let that happen, so I chased him.

I was able to pull my motorcycle alongside the driver's door and I yelled for him to pull over. I'm not sure what I was thinking, but surprisingly he stopped. I flipped off my helmet and said, "What are you doing in front of my house, I saw you taking pictures. Who are you taking pictures of? When you saw me coming down the driveway, why you tried to take off?"

He didn't say anything.

Louder, I said, "What is going on here, were you taking picture of me or my daughter? I'm calling the police." I took my phone out of my pocket and said, "You are creeping me out pal, we don't need this in my neighbourhood."

He made a whimpering sound and then he said, "There is a lot of them."

Assuming he was insane, on drugs or simply delusional I paused and said, "What???"

He stuttered a bit and said, "There is a... there's a lot of them here, I was tracking them down. I didn't mean..."

I had lost patience, 911 was already dialled on my phone and I was about to press send when he said, "POKEMON, there is lots of Pokemon here."

I paused. I took a deep breath and somewhat more calmly, I said, "You are hunting Pokemon?"

Again, he made a small whimpering noise and nodded his head.

I put my motorcycle in gear and rode away.

I'm a bit protective of my home and my family and I'm very happy that the Pokemon Go craze was short lived. However, I suppose I should be more understanding and realize that things are not always as they seem.

At B2BGateway, we have clients that may say, "My EDI is broken." Whereas, in reality there is usually a cross referencing or business issue that is preventing the EDI documents to flow smoothly. From their perspective, the EDI is not working, but the reality is quite different. B2B has the Rapid Response Team (RRT) team to help out clients when an issue is encountered. The RRT team is quick, efficient and very understanding. Also, the RRT Team does not play Pokemon Go.
