As always, B2BGateway is making changes to improve our processes. Each year in December, the managers of B2BGateway hold special staff meetings to solicit inputs from our staff on process improvements. The improvements can be something that was suggested by one of our clients, or something that a staff member thought of on their own. Each suggestion is collected and documented for review by senior management.
In January, our senior management team meets at an off-site summit for several days to decide which of the improvements will be implemented in the coming year. We sort through all the suggestions and determine which are the five most important, which are quick fixes, which are needed and which are wanted. While some of the suggestions are very cool from a technological standpoint, other suggestions are truly needed and tend to take precedence.
At the management summit we also agreed upon a theme for the coming year. Last year our theme was “Making the Customer Happy”, and we made great strides to do just that. Our theme for 2016 is “Teamwork”, which is defined as working together internally with different groups and working in collaboration with our clients, trading partners, 3PLs and external consultants. In order to make the team as strong as possible B2BGateway intends to listen more intently and to speak more effectively, so that all members of the extended team know exactly what is needed to make the EDI process seamless. We plan to have 2016 be a very successful year and we look forward to any inputs our clients can provide about B2BGateway. Good comments are welcome, but the less than good comments are the ones that we can learn from. Thanks and have a great year!
