B2BGateway vs. The Competition

Some of our clients have been receiving emails from our competition, in an attempt to have you switch EDI providers. B2BGateway understands the competitive marketplace, but there are differences… and there are “untruths”.

B2BGateway is a “managed service”, meaning that we simply provide the software and the client does all the work.

We are a fully-managed EDI solution, meaning B2BGateway does ALL the work on your behalf.

In order to work with some trading partners, you must switch EDI providers.

Your in-house team is responsible for the operational and technical details of managing your EDI solution.

B2BGateway’s EDI solutions have always been 100% fully managed and integrated. Our implementations team handles all aspects of the solution. Your organization is only required to define your own business rules.

When a trading partner’s EDI requirement changes, your team is responsible for changing the EDI maps. EDI requirement changes are extremely common in retailing.

Requirements do change often. The maps reside inside the B2BGateway system and are proactively updated by our staff as required. Our clients don’t have access to the data maps, they don’t need to.

Your team is required to coordinate EDI testing with your trading partners and validate data flow.

This is simply nonsense. B2BGateway manages the EDI implementation, testing, and monitors the health of the implementation, forever.

Your in-house team communicates with trading partners about EDI connectivity, setup, requirements, updates and support.

Again, this 100% untrue. B2BGateway handles all the Trading Partner communications via our Trading Partner Liaison team.

Your in-house team is responsible for monitoring and optimizing your EDI solution.

B2BGateway’s monitoring system along with our support teams and programming staff ensures that your system is running efficiently. B2BGateway requires ZERO data entry from clients.

You will be responsible for contacting support regarding any issues. Real-time, expert support is often limited.

Yes, like other EDI providers, if you have an issue, you can contact B2BGateway. Holiday, night, and weekend support is available. We have support 22 hours per day spanning our US, European Union, and Australian offices. Additionally, B2BGateway is regularly proactive in reaching out to clients regarding changes, updates, and errors.

Support from the organization creating the untruths is superior.

The competition can help clients with complicated EDI solutions.
