What is an Order Portal?

The 'Order Portal' is a special web page designed to give your customers a place to submit orders electronically via EDI fast and easy. There is very little work on your end as the manager of the portal and company owner. You simply need to assign users their passwords and wait for the orders to come in (in most cases we integrate directly with your accounting or ERP system). Your customers will log into the customer side of the portal using their assigned usernames and passwords to place orders. The best part of the order portal is that is completely customizable - meaning your customers see your logo and color scheme. Now everyone can do EDI!


  • Order Portal - Sales Orders


This is the most important screen in the 'Order Portal'. This is where your customers will go to place orders with your company. They will see your logo and colors - and will be amazed at how easy it is to place orders with you. This will increase the numbers of orders you receive and reduce your cash cycle payment processes in turn making you more money.

  • Order Portal - Home Screen

    Home Page

    This is the 'Order Portal' home page screen. It is what your customers will see when they log into your portal. Your customers will see your company logo at the top left of this screen and their company information will be listed on the left. In addition, your customers will see the top locations they have items shipped to and the top items that they order from your company.

  • Order Portal - Current Orders

    Current Orders

    The 'Current Orders' page is where your customers will go to see orders they have placed with your company. It will show them the order number, ship to location, date the order was created, order status, cost total and options to print, delete, copy or edit. Your customers may only edit orders that have been saved for later and have not been sent.

    Video Demonstration

    The video demonstration will bring you through everything one of your customers would see from their home page with custom reports to oustanding and past orders to creating a new order all from within the system. Most times, we can integrate the order portal into your accounting package or ERP system which means you will have to spend very little time on the order portal.     This is the 'Order Portal' management home page screen. When you purchase an order portal, B2BGateway will customize the information that you would like to see on this screen. Customizations include your company's logo and color scheme as well as a number of different simple reports. Anything beyond these features will require custom programming and a separately priced quote.

You will be provided with your own management login screen that can be branded with your colors and logo as well.     Owners of the 'Order Portal' will have access to and manage their item list through a cross reference table. Owners of the portal will also manage login and company information of their customers who use the portal.

  • Portal Users

    Portal Users

    Users of the 'Order Portal', your customers, will be able to create, send, save and edit orders. Past orders can also be copied to a new order in order to facilitate easy ordering. Past and current orders can be viewed on the portal and your customers will have the ability to edit their own company information and login password.
