Mark Giansanti, Programmer at B2BGateway

I grew up in Warwick, Rhode Island and obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Administration of Justice from Salve Regina University in 2003. After a few attempts at joining one of Rhode Island’s police forces, I realized I no longer wanted be a cop. Thankfully, my passion for technology took over and I returned to school to obtain my Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Rhode Island College. I joined B2BGateway.Net about 8 months ago as a programmer and have thoroughly enjoyed my time here.

Hobbies/Interests:

My wife, Ellen, would tell you that I have too many Hobbies/Interests but I don’t agree. Just
because I enjoy soccer, volleyball, karate, fishing, golfing, and playing the guitar, doesn’t mean I take part in too many extracurricular activities... Ok, I guess so… but the best part has been spending time with my wife as she partakes in these activities with me. One day, when things have settled and my children are older, I hope to travel frequently and explore history.

Favorite Food:

While I am not very picky and will try anything once, my favorite food usually includes anything I can put a ton of red sauce and parmesan cheese on. I actually just discovered a passion for cooking over the last few years and have become addicted to shows like Chopped and Master Chef. I find cooking to be very relaxing and there is nothing better than cooking for others who love to eat.

Approach to work:

I think my approach to work is simple… work hard and always put forth my best effort. If I’ve given my best effort then I can feel good about the work I’ve delivered. As a programmer, I enjoy working behind the scenes and helping with a client’s EDI needs. It is truly a feeling of fulfillment that I receive when I am able to help a business grow with the work that I do on a daily basis.
